Remembering Gabe Brooks

Early this morning we got the terrible news that our good friend Gabe Brooks lost his life late last night. The details are still not fully developed but what we do know is that BMX has lost one of the biggest personalities and rawest talents to emerge from the Los Angeles scene. I was fortunate enough to meet Gabe in my early teens and spend a good amount time with him on BMX trips and hanging out with him during his brief stint on the OSS squad. His sheer athleticism was rivaled by very few, his larger than life presence was felt anywhere he went, and he even unofficially won the Simple Session bunnyhop contest in 2012 with a 50″ hop! His imprint in the BMX world will never be forgotten! May he rest in peace!

Wow, did not expect to see this today. Trey Jones is officially off Cult. Here’s what Robbie Morales had to say:

“They say all good things must come to a end. So with a heavy heart we wish TREY JONES luck as he moves on to the next stage of his life. When I first watched Trey’s riding, I immediately knew he had something special! He grew into a completely unique rider with a skillset and style that is umatched to this day. We know his awesome family and friends will take care of him and he will be missed by the whole CULT CREW.

Namaste, Robbie Morales”
